I'm a lifelong game player, my competitive spirit was forged during countless hours of futile attempts to gain global domination or an exclusive property market over my family. High school brought my first fleeting encounter with tabletop role-playing games and I've been obsessed ever since.
Mythology and history have always captivated my imagination as well. From books of Thor and Loki's mischief to majoring in anthropology in college and working for museums, my interest in digging up fascinating stories from the past has never left.
Learning about the Royal Game of Ur and of d20s found from ancient Greece and Rome made me realize that combining these two loves was possible and exciting. I find it fascinating to dive into the history of games and learn where various elements came from.
Recent global events and personal adventures into fatherhood led to a lack of games in my life. This is my attempt to retain my sanity and share my love of these games.
